Walking with two young lions and even learn how and what these predators communicate! The lions are unrestrained and roam free as you join them on a walk through riverine vegetation and African bush on the banks of the Masuwe River.
You go the 1.5 hour walk with 2-3 cubs of the Masuve Reserve, which is located 10 minutes from Victoria Falls. The encounter is fully supervised and professionally managed by an experienced and qualified team who have been working with lions for over 20 years originally at Gweru’s Antelope Park.
These cubs are part of a project in Zimbabwe to restore the number of African predators. The lions are not more than 10 month old. You can communicate with the cubs and take pictures, or scratch an ear, as I did – and, in my opinion, like pets they like it. They do not have cubs collars and leashes, it’s not a zoo, all for real!
